‘Words by the Water - Festival of Words and Ideas’ is pleased to offer young people (aged 17-25 yrs) the chance to listen to and engage with a host of prominent writers, politicians, broadcasters and commentators through our Bursary Scheme.

If you are passionate about writing and new ideas; excited about art, travel, philosophy, politics and current affairs, or simply seeking inspiration there are lots of reasons to apply.

Anyone aged 17 – 25 can apply for up to 10 free tickets for the events at the festival. There is an application form that needs to be filled in, but there’s no interview process  or deadline.

Tickets are allocated on a first come, first served basis, so the sooner someone can apply the better.
