Young Cumbria offers the opportunity for those working with young people to earn themselves nationally recognised qualifications.

Current Courses

Currently we are running the following courses, which are due for completion July 2011:

Level 2 and Level 3 NVQ in Youth Work

This qualification will provide practitioners with a vocational qualification that embraces the current National Occupational Standards for youth and community work.

A1 Assesor Award

The A1 Assessor Award equips the learner wih the skills, knowledge and qualificatio to assess NVQ candidates within thier own occupational area [Youth Work].

Level 1 Certificate in Introduction to Youth Work

An introduction course aimed at volunteer ad trainee workers that looks at the values of youth work and practical skills for working with young people today. (This course is delivered on a modular basis)
