We have been training those in the Children's and Young People's Sector for a number of years, and are a highly regarded training centre. We strive to offer training of the highest quality whilst aiming to make our courses as accessible as possible.

What We Do
We offer a wide variety of different training courses, for all those working with young people, including (please click on titles for more information):

- Short Course Training - These are designed to support and develop youthwork practice (often, but not exclusively 1-2 days long)
- In-House Training - Our short course training package delivered solely to your organisation
- Bespoke Traning - We are able to write and deliver a traning package to meet your specific needs
- Seminars - Shorter courses giving you the chance to meet with others, and Young Cumbria's staff, to discuss particular topics
- Quaifications - Training and portfolio building sessions supporting participants to gain nationally recognised qualificaions.
- Portfolio Building Sessions - An opportunity to meet with qualified assessor to gain feedback on any portfolios being worked on
- Moderation Dates - Dates for when portfolios can be submitted for moderation.
Our Trainers
All Young Cumbria trainers have completed or are working towards a national recognised teaching qualifications. They have extensive experience in training delivery as well as face-to-face work with young people.
Certificates
Young Cumbria certificates indicate time spent on the course and the key learning outcomes met by the participant. All Young Cumbria courses are built using the RARPA approach, ensuring we 'Recognise and Record Progress and Achievement'.
