In recent weeks, young people from Whitehaven have had the opportunity to learn about and take part in some Wheelchair Basketball sessions. The sessions were organised by Young Cumbria, in partnership with Carlisle Panthers, Cumbria County Council and Whitehaven Harbour Youth Project.

UK Youth, along with 55 other key youth organisations, recently submitted some recommendations to The Leveson Enquiry regarding young people in the media.

Young Cumbria brought together 17 budding young leaders aged 15-18 from across the county to join an exciting Young Leaders Training Course.

On the 11^th December 2011 Young Cumbria took 21 young people (and Bruce Forsyth!) on a trip to Dumfries Ice Bowl.
