Young Cumbria Plans to Celebrate "Youth Work Week" |

National Youth Work Week takes place 31st October - 6th November. This years theme is “Youth Work - Bringing Communities Together”.
The focus will be on the impact of front line youth workers in working with young people and communities to foster positive relationships and a sense of belonging. They want the week to highlight how investment in youth work can address community issues and enable young people to feel they have a stake in society.
Here is a list of some of the ways Young Cumbria is planning to celebrate this national event.

Girls residential (Oct ½) from South Lakes
Schools visits: What is youth work? Solway and St Josephs: youth workers visit schools to inform young people of activities, programmes and provision in their area and what youth work is.
Friday 29th October: Band Blast at Kirkgate Centre Cockermouth 6.30pm – 9pm. Band night for 11 – 21 year olds. . Stalls of all youth providers in the afternoon.
